Muzzall Bill SB 5882: https://lawfilesext.leg.wa.gov/.../Senate.../5882.pdf...
Hello Friends - Help needed here. Senator Muzzall called tonight and we need to help him, help us. He (with others) have introduced a bill to push back on DOE's attempt to rewrite water law and take away stock watering rights without a permit. If you haven't been following this saga, please see the links to the articles below. It's important to remember - The state’s definition of livestock includes cattle, horses, goats, sheep, swine, poultry, alpacas and other domesticated species. So don't hesitate to share this with all that you know are affected.

How can we help?
Spread the word!!!! We need people to testify PRO and we need people to sign-in PRO. Please share this information. From what we've seen from Ecology so far, there'll be no more getting a drink out of the creek without a water right permit, if you have any of the above-mentioned animals, but this is particularly devastating to cow-calf producers.
Here is where/how to sign up:
Click this link: https://app.leg.wa.gov/csi/Senate
In the drop down menu, choose Agriculture, Water, Natural Resources & Parks and at the Meetings drop down menu choose 1/27 at 1:30 PM
Next, choose SB 5882 Riparian stock watering
Next, choose your type of testimony - testify remotely, or have your position noted for the record
Next, choose your position as PRO and fill out the rest of the page.
Thanks so much everyone - We must stick together for ranchers in this state!
Best to all, don't hesitate to text/call/or email.
