Member Outreach and Office Assistant

Type of Position: Hourly employment, 20-25 hr/week

Location: WCA office, Ellensburg, WA



The Member Outreach and Office Assistant serves as the face of the WCA’s office, Editor of the Ketch Pen, WCA’s monthly membership publication. Works closely with Executive Vice President and Office Manager to keep the WCA office running smoothly and efficiently.


Key Responsibilities

Editor of the Ketch Pen includes but not limited to: Design, produce and edit; procure appropriate content; secure advertising; oversee printing and USPS distribution.

Assist office manager with membership correspondence and receptionist duties.

Update WCA website. Assist with social media content.

Participate in Annual Convention preparation which may include but is not limited to: working with the convention committee on sponsorship and exhibitor recruitment, schedule speakers, program/banners design.

Assist in planning and executing member events.

Maintain, update and distribute annually the Top Hand directory.  

Other duties as assigned.



Ability to interact with members and industry in a friendly and personable manner. Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time. Self‐starter with ability to work unsupervised. Strong written and verbal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs.


Preferred Experience

Knowledge of and experience in the agricultural industry.

Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
